Sending a question – Every member of eHarmony can send a question to their matches as a part of Guided Communication; you don’t have to be a subscriber to use this feature but to see their account you will. With a list of more than 50 multiple choice questions, you can learn a few important things about your matches. If your match is a subscriber, he or she can send you a written response, but you will only be able to read it if you are a subscriber too.

Membership options include 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, or yearly subscriptions. Prices will vary on a number of different circumstances, but monthly costs will be cheaper by subscribing to the longer price plans. What does the yellow or green dot next to my matches name mean?

The yellow dot next to your matches name means they were online within the last 24 hours.

By sending messages to matches who were recently online, or who are currently online, are likely to get a faster response.

eHarmony matches people by using 29 Dimensions of Compatibility, a unique system which can help to match like-minded people and result in more successful relationships. The system that they use identifies similar passions, conflict resolution techniques, and other traits that members use throughout their daily lives.
Research from eHarmony have shown that matching by using these features is most compatible to creating longer lasting, healthy relationships.

The relationship questionnaire has been created to help new members describe what they are looking for in a relationship. Taking approximately 30-40 minutes to complete, the questionnaire also asks about your life, where you live, how old you are, and what age you would like your matches to be. The questionnaire does not have to be completed, but doing so will give you better matches, and show others that you’re serious about finding that special someone. Once completed, you will receive matches that will consist of people which eHarmony think are the most compatible for you.
You do not have to complete the questionnaire in one sitting, you can save your progress, and come back later, which is handy.
To get a taste of the questionnaire, we have added a video to our eHarmony review page and also created a blog that lists all the questions asked during sign up.

If you would like to block a match and receive no communication from them, you will need to:
1. Find the match you wish to block
2. Select the ‘x’ that can be found next to the word “Hide.”
You also have the option of blocking someone via their profile by simply moving the mouse over the set of three dots to the upper right of their profile.
You will be given the option to block or hide their profile. If you block someone, you will no longer be able to communicate with them. If you have not communicated with someone, but you wish to block them, you must hide their profile first. Once you have hidden the profile, click on “Matches,” and select “Hidden Matches.” Now click the ‘x’ that can be found next to “Block.”

In a word, no!
A free trial just doesn't exist and if it did, we would tell you about it.
eHarmony do offer a 14 day refund policy, so this essentially works as a free trial OR you can use eHarmony for free during one of their free communication weekends.

I guess you dont want an email form ,so the best way is to call them on 0800 028 0308 (Monday - Friday 10:30 AM and 7:30 PM)

There are numerous reasons for this, I've noted some below:
The Paradox of choice - basically too many choices for anyone isn't good, it takes you too long and clouds your judgement. eHarmony get over this by distilling and presenting to you only the matches they deem the very best.
LONG questionnaire - once you have dedicated that amount of time to something you feel a need to make it work, so you will put more effort in.
Also, the whole premise of the questionnaire is to get to know you ore, by using more questions they can match you better.
They market themselves as a long term relationship site, so they get members of the same mind frame and so its more successful for everyone. If you have ever gone shopping when you are hungry, you will get the point.

4.1million - straight from the horses mouth.
My guess is that is profiles in the UK, not active members, but its still an impressive number.

Is eHarmony a christian company and do they approve of gay relationships?

The original owner is a strict christian and because of how they created their algorithm they weren't 100% in favour of letting in gay couples. They have since been told they need to and so all gay couples are required to sign up to Compatible Partners. We are told there is a separate matching system for that service, but we haven't reviewed it as of yet. If anyone is interested, we'd love to hear from you.
